About the TreaT NOW Study

The TreaT NOW Study will help us learn more about the best way to care for babies born with Neonatal Opioid Withdrawal Syndrome, or NOWS. Babies with NOWS often have tremors, trouble sleeping or gaining weight, and feeding problems. Some babies that have NOWS need medicine. TreaT NOW will study two of the common medicines used to treat NOWS, buprenorphine and morphine, to see if one helps more than the other.
